participative painting
commissioned by the city of Leuven
2024 For the JUSTNature Project, I was invited by the city of Leuven to develop an artwork that could involve local residents on Constantin Meunier Street.

By combining poses from Constantin Meunier (1831–1905) with miniaturist elements referencing Maria Van Bel (16th century), and integrating local flora and fauna, I aimed to create imagery in which the boundary between culture and nature dissolves. Residents contributed collages, which served as inspiration for the design, and assisted in painting.
